So.. I never imagined that one day I would go back to Tanjore Village and live in the huts
Never imagined that one day I would swing on a wooden plank tied to a mango tree and sing all my favourite songs
Never imagined that I put my feet in a temple tank look alike swimming pool and just listen to the sounds of the birds for hours together
Never imagined that I would get this close to the nature hidden from the outside world
Never imagined that I would take a walk on the village streets till my sandals could not take anymore
Never imagined that I would learn the making of a bronze statues
Never imagined that one day I would accompany a potter and make a mud lamp
Never imagined that there is so much skill hidden from the outside world
Never imagined that one day I would eat delicious “Stand idly” with Vadakari
Never imagined that reading a book under a tree shade will give so much pleasure
Never imagined that hanging around the courtyard was so interesting
Never imagined that there is so much peace hidden from the outside world
Never Imagined that I would read Aug 15 1947 news paper
Never imagined that I would one day use the manual phone
Never imagined that I would understand and look at the Tanjore paintings
Never Imagined that there is so much treasure hidden from the outside world
Never Imagined that the noise made by the huge trees was so melodious
Never imagined that I would pluck a rare fruit from a lemon tree
Never Imagined that I would see beautiful mud carvings and stones
Never imagined that India had so much treasure and skill hidden from the outside world
Now I imagine myself here coming again and again
Now I imagine that the best things in life are closer to you
Now I imagine how to lead a peaceful life
I don’t want to imagine that I need to live in the outside world and
I imagine coming back to the same place again and again
